How to Safely Ship a Crown or Tiara

Packing a Crown for Shipping

Packing your tiaras and crowns correctly is the key to keeping them protected in transit. Follow these steps to make sure every piece arrives in perfect condition.  We will use the words tiara and crown interchangeably for this article.

✅ 1. Choose the Right Box

Use a strong cardboard shipping box (like the ones we use) that’s also large enough to leave space on all sides of the crown or tiara. This extra room allows for proper padding as well as keeping the crown from the side of the box which can be dented in transit..

📦 2. Pad the Bottom

Line the bottom of the box with crumpled packing paper, bubble wrap, or air pillows. This base layer cushions your crown or tiara from underneath and helps absorb shocks.

👑 3. Place the Crown or Tiara Securely

Gently place your tiara or crown in the center of the box, sitting on the padded base.  If shipping multiple tiaras, they can usually be stacked with the largest tiara on the outside and the smallest tiara on the inside.

  • As shown by ① in the image , make sure there’s space between the top of the tiara(s) and the side of the box .

  • Add soft padding (like crumpled paper or bubble wrap) around the sides so the crown doesn't shift or touch the box walls.

📏 4. Protect the Top

Ensure there’s at least 1–2 inches of space between the top of the tiara and the top of the box (see ② in the image ). Fill that space with crumpled paper, bubbles or air pillows to prevent any contact from the box during transit.

🧸 5. Fill in the Gaps

Fill all remaining space around the tiara with extra stuffing—this locks everything in place and keeps the padding from shifting.

📬 6. Seal and Ship

Close the box and seal it tightly with strong tape . Your tiara or crown is now safely packed and ready to ship.
